Hello and welcome to my website. I am a composer from Scotland, currently based in West Yorkshire, and I am involved in a number of different projects. Among my most recent accomplishments is winning a place on Ty Cerdd's 'Composer Pathways' initiative in which my work 'Beneath the Surface' was premiered by the Berkeley Ensemble.
Highlights of my career so far include being the first recipient of Scottish Opera's 'Encouraging New Opera' award in which I was commissioned to compose a short opera in collaboration with and produced by Scottish Opera. My music has been performed as part of the Sound Festival and more recently, ‘In Presence’, my largest work to date was performed at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
I studied formerly at the University of Aberdeen and I was recently awarded a Masters degree from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
My music largely falls in the realm of contemporary classical. I specialise in synthesising fragmented elements of music to create expansive, tapestry-like textures.
